Old Hörner Family Tree

The chart below comes from a family tree segment from a German genealogy book, which was produced by the town of Kuhardt, Germany Germany during the 1990s. The translation of the text is further down on this page.

Translation of text:

"Das rechtsrheinisch gelegene Dorf Dettenheim gehörte zeitweise zum Amt bzw. zur Fautei Germersheim. Dort wird bereits 1464 Johann Hörner als Leibeigener des Hochstifts Speyer genannt. Im Güterbuch Dettenheim von 1686 sind auch die Namen Johann Georg Hörner und Johann Rudolf Hörner verzeichnet."
Translation: Dettenheim, the town lying to the right of the Rhine River, belongs to the time of ____, for example to Fautei Germersheim (a name or place?). There in 1464 Johann Hörner was named serf of the Speyer Cathedral. The names Johann Georg Hörner and Johann Rudolf Hörner appear in the good book, Dettenheim around 1686.

"1704 ist Johannes (Hans) Valentin Hörner, der ältest Namensträger in Kuhardt, im Sterbecbuch eingetragen. Wenn das für die damalige Zeit ungewähnlich hoeh Sterbealter von 88 Jahren stimmt, dann ist J. Valentin Hörner vor dem Dreißigjährigen Krieg geboren. Geburtsort und -datum sind nicht bekannt."
Translation: In 1704, Johannes (Hans) Valentin Hörner, the oldest bearing that name in Kuhardt, was listed? in the record of deaths. If his unusally high age of death at 88 years is correct, then Johann Valentin Hörner would have been born before the 30 years war. Place of birth dates are not known.

"In einem Verzeichnis von 1686 für Kuhardt (Staatsarchiv Speyer) heißt es: "Hörner Veltin (Valentin, Anm. d. Verf.)…Haus, Güter;…die Briefe (Pachtverträge, Anm. d. Verf.) sind im Krieg (Dreißigjährigen Krieg. Anm. d. Verf.) verloren gegangen…"
Translation: In an identification paper? from 1686 for Speyer’s state archives in Kuhardt it states "Hörner, Veltin…house, goods?; the letters/packages hard to follow? were lost in the war (30 Years War)…"
